Progressive PR & Publicity is a Melbourne-based PR and communications agency with experience delivering innovative campaigns across a range of industries including consumer products, tourism, hospitality, government, not-for-profit and the arts.
With an established client base, Progressive PR wanted to further their growth and were interested in how they could get their website working harder for them. While many of their current clients found them through word-of-mouth, Progressive PR wanted to expand their avenues of lead generation – one of which was through their website. They were also interested in how to go about achieving greater visibility on Google for their key services (eg. Arts PR Melbourne) as well as more generic PR terms (eg. PR Melbourne).
An initial audit of Progressive PR’s website revealed two significant areas that required improvement; keyword optimisation and site speed. Our Audit also revealed that Progressive PR were only appearing on page one of Google’s search results for three keywords. While we understand that this is a competitive industry, we saw an opportunity for improvement here as well.
After carrying out keyword research we provided recommendations for the addition of new landing pages for specific keywords that had high search volume to help improve search ranking for these terms. We also optimised existing page content, meta-data and alt-image tags using our keyword research, and carried out a number of other site speed and SEO optimisations.
