The challenge

uTenant team sought a scalable and distributed platform that could keep pace with their expanding business. They required the capability to execute a personalized web application and conveniently generate marketing content to enhance the platform. As the business grew, they needed a solution that was robust and scalable to meet the evolving needs.

Our approach

From the outset, it was clear that the existing uTenant platform wasn’t a perfect fit for their needs. However, starting from scratch wasn’t a viable option either, as the platform already had some functional elements.

We charted a new course and decided to repurpose the Ruby on Rails platform as a headless API delivery system, complement it with WordPress for content management, and bring everything together with NextJS/ReactJS.

This setup streamlined server-side integration with third-party platforms such as HubSpot and MailChimp, and gave us the ability to use modern front-end technologies.

We were able to maximise the existing functionalities, resulting in a stunning website. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we utilised WordPress which met all the marketing needs effectively.

The outcome

uTenant’s website has been up and running since 2020 and has seen tremendous success since then. Here are some highlights:

• Added several improvements to streamline business operations
• Refined the front-end design based on A/B testing results, leading to better conversion rates
• Experienced a whopping 400% increase in website traffic

The in-house team at uTenant has done an excellent job managing the website, but we continue to partner with them to keep adding new and exciting features to support their ongoing growth.
